Five-spot Burnets, a Glow-worm and Orchids

Five-Spot Burnet, Zygaena trifolii

On June 4th Kithurst Meadow had Small Blue, Common Blue, Green-veined White, Burnet Companion, Dark Strawberry Tortrix, Grass Rivulet, female Green Longhorn, Plume moth, Red-fringed Conch, Satin Grass-veneer, Thistle Bell, Twin-barred Dwarf, White-barred Gold and the rarely reported Unmarked Neb. I also found my first Scarce Tortoise Shieldbug.
  On June 5th I found a Glow-worm larva crossing a path. It gave a glow from two spots on the tail for a few seconds when disturbed.
  On June 6th I visited Fairmile Bottom and saw Brimstones, Common Blues, Holly Blue, Small Heath, Holly Blue, Dingy Skipper, Grizzled Skipper, moths: Five-spot Burnets, Diamond-backs, Cinerous Pearls, Meadow Grey, Small Purple and Gold, Common Yellow Conch. 
 Afterwards my Mill Hill transect gave me Adonis Blue 15, Brimstone 3, Large White 1, Painted Lady 1, Red Admiral 1, Small Heath 3.
