Bright Bell and Black-tipped Ermine

Black-tipped Ermine, Yponomeuta plumbella
On Friday I visited Houghton Forest and Fairmile Bottom, which proved to be rich in micro moths with six new species. These included two Bright Bell, a colony of Black-tipped Ermine, a Syncopacma moth and a Light Brown Apple Moth which is believed to be an Australian introduction into Cornwall in the early 20th century.
