Orange-tips and wild flowers

Orange-tip, Anthocharis cardamines
Yesterday  afternoon at Angmering Woods the sun suddenly beamed down at 3:30pm and I was able to pursue two Orange-tips and a female Small White. Plenty of plants are now in flower, including Ground-ivy, Red Campion, Herb Robert and Garlic Mustard, a food plant of the Orange-tip. Self-heal is ready to flower. While I was creeping up on a roosting Orange-tip a Firecrest called to complete a lovely afternoon.
