Waterfowl and an Autumn work party

Mallards, Anas platyrhynchos
Yesterday I made a late afternoon trip to Arundel WWT and enjoyed the sight of 24 Canada Geese landing. Later 14 more joined them, followed by another 7. They swam together in a large circle in front of the hide. Three Tufted Ducks and a Little Grebe came down just before it grew dark. On the way home I stopped to capture a glorious sunset from the seafront.
Today was a Heyshott work party day under a wonderful blue sky. We fed three fires with cuttings  and a large area at the top of the hill looks very neat now. The Autumn leaves on the beeches looked wonderful.
