Admirals, Coppers and a Trading weight

Small Copper, Lycaena phlaeas
On Saturday I ventured up Cissbury Ring on another futile Clouded Yellow hunt. It was a lovely Autumn day with some wind. There were a few Meadow Browns around, plus some Small Coppers, a Small Heath and Red Admirals. I spotted a fox from the bowl at the end of the old rifle range.
On Sunday my detecting club had a dig and I found a 2 ounce trading weight, c.16/17thCentury plus some buckles and buttons and an 1878 penny.
