Squirrels galore on a wedding day

Nute and Ken left yesterday afternoon to drop Ollie at Dronfield then made their way to the wedding hotel in Buxton. Alex and Nadine will be relieved to see the weather forecast coming good with the sun shining on their day.
Last night's Springwatch showed nature red in tooth and claw with the loss of another Plover's egg to the Raven, two left, will they hatch and get away from the danger area? Two cygnets disappeared overnight, thought to be victims of a cob fiercely guarding its water, leaving three Not a good start considering that seven eggs were laid and six hatched. We'll tune in Monday for the next episode...
My garden blog continues with more visitors to the feeders, mostly feathered and I witnessed the feisty smaller squirrel who owns the dining room feeder see off an intruder.

 that's sorted him out...
